DPreview just posted thier review of the stylus 800...
Starting from page one his comments seemed quite good, n he seemed to like the output, design, the large LCD one of the best in recent times, and that detail was very good, though as usual for camera'a of it's class it's overprocessed (over contrasty and sharpened), also has aperture and shutter priorty modes, and a strong built in flash... etc.. the comparison with the ixus 750 and f10 it did very well compared to them he seemed to like it so much i thought it would get 'highly reccomended'!!! but sadly and surprisingly it only got an 'above average' ![]() http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/olympusstylus800/ |

Hi Hammer,
Although one should respect the right of a reviewer's opinion, I certainly find his thumbing down the Mju800 as being unsuitable for the "a pixel-peeper, purist or post-processing junkie" as forgetting who the intended user of this class of compact weather-proof P&S is targeted at. Cheers, |

He was quite sore about it from what I gathered in his forum. Anyway, from some reason or the other, Olympus' cameras usually don't get a good review from his website so don't have to take it to heart. ![]() |
