Default Anyone has DIY E300 battery pack?

The BLM-1 is of 1500mAh (7.2V), that means a seperate battery pack can be built using 6pcs of AA rechargable Metal hydrite battery (2300mAh or 2500mAh will be good). Connection to the external power inlet.

Has anyone tried so far?

cheers

What is the point when the BLM-1 can last so long? I will rather get the East Gear BLM-1 which is quite cheap and forget the hassle of the AAs which discharge incredibly fast.

I have to agree...since we're talking about the E-300, why not just get the HLD-3 and some clone batteries (if you want to risk it, certainly less of a gamble compared to using AAs).

Hello Teo,

Olympus will soon release the LBH1 battery adaptor in conjection with the E500. It takes 3 CR123s side by side in a BLM-1 like enclosure allowing use of off-the-shelf power alternatives. It should power the E300/E1 as well. I read from elsewhere that although rechargeable CR123s are available, they don't pack much power for endurance. It isn't DIY per se.

However, I'm come to appreciate the power consistency from the BLM1s to value them as they are.

Cheers,
