Default Stigmatogobius sadanundio

Hi guys,

Here's a picture of a knight goby.

Discovered in 1822, this South Asian species grows up to only 8.5 cm on the average. Occurs in estuaries and tidal zone of rivers. Prefers fresh water, rarely found in brackish water. Feeds on small fishes and invertebrates, including mosquito larvae.

It's a pretty common fish in our local fish shops, but usually smaller specimens around 4 - 5 cm.

Cheers,

actually uncommon in freshwater, more commonly found in brackish water (at least in Singapore).

Nice shot with minimal shadows. How many flash units do you use?
