Default Spots on the background

Hi all macro gurus,

I have a copy of the Tamron 90mm and wondering if I have got a bad one. The background of the picture taken with this lens produces spots. It is not the CCD problem as I have tested my camera with other lens. Can anyone advise is this normal. The spots will only appear when the backgound is OOF, are these spots cause by dusts inside the lens?

Cheers..thomas

I use a blower to blow the mirror but not sure if that's the correct way.
i choose mirror lockup then blow.

Cause i lazy to go service centre so just live with using a blower,it just reduce the dust abit.
Going down to service centre is a much wiser choice.

ThomasD, did you use a Jumbo blower? Did you blow with the camera facing downwards? Before actually blowing into the camera, di you blow the blower a few times first?

Humm read somewhere that it is not advisible to blow the CCD or mirror. The dust get collected else where within the cam, and may cause some side effects after a while.
