Fat models are unsightly, how to sell products like that?! Maybe you mean curvy, or being fat in the right places is better...

Think ideally should be slim, not thin. Voluptuous and not fat or flabby.. for that matter

I think it is the other way round - got to pay them enough to buy slimming pills.

Fat models are the ones that are not paid enough.
I love big car, big house, big lenses, but small apertures.

Voluptuous - I like the word, the best adjective to describe it.

I will agree with 2 thumbs up.

We got to be truthful about something here. Differences in diets and lifestyles aside, the Caucasoid breed is generally bigger. It's like comparing a terrier with a labrador. However, not all white women are well endowed, although it's likely that a majority of them are busty and curvy. The reverse can be said of the Mongoloid breed (Asians).

Differences in the perception of what is a good body/physique also exist between the east and west.

White women tend to perceive that good figures are well-exercised toned bodies with slight muscle definition. Asian women, who probably and generally exercise less (just like the men), perceive that good figures are slim cellulite-free bodies.

Also, white women appear to admire tanned bodies (maybe to match toned bodies). Asian women on the other hand, appear to prefer sun-protected fair (sometimes sickly pale and seemingly lifeless) skin.

It's not very difficult to observe this difference in some magazines.

Well, agree. But very often, those well endowed ones are not that common alas. Very often, they are artificially enhanced! Quite a number of them went for surgery and yet deny it. No need for any sophisticated instrument to verify.

Ehh... I'm not sure if you're talking about Asians or Caucasians.

Anyway, if you're refering to Caucasians, it's generally accepted that many white women go under the surgeon's knife to get implants (for whatever open-minded or ambitious reasons they have). Yes, it's also reported that some deny having done it.

However, this does not mean that every other white woman (say 1 in 2, or even 7 in 10) has walked into a clinic and ordered breast implants.

If a woman is generally heavy built (higher fat content or BMI), it also follows that she's bustier and curvier than her slimmer peers. We don't need to study high school biology to know this. Having said that, the average Caucasian Aussie woman is a size 12 compared to a S'porean/Asian girl who averages size 8.

Another matter which I'm no expert on but I strongly suspect is that the Caucasoid breed may reach puberty earlier or matures faster than the Asian breed (maybe due to diet?). The whites tend to look older than their real age. Many times, I have mistaken high school girls (13-16 years old) to be older teens or early 20s. I'm not trying to sound offensive/perverted but some have chests that threaten to rip the buttons off their school blouses (and I'm not telling fairy tales -- I'm here in Australia now -- I see white girls everyday).

If my brains still serve me well, a girl reaches maximum bust size at either age 16 or 18. If the white girls really have a head start, or have faster growth, or both, it's not difficult to see why many of them tend to have a bigger bouncier natural pair than Asian women.

I read some books years ago, that our eyes and our brain always work together to play trick on us. So if our eyes see someone "fat", our brain will send us a signal that means "ugly", but in fact fat does not mean ugly.

There was a fashion photographer whom I respect greatly. Irving Penn.

He photographed beautiful slim models his entire life. But for his person works, he worked with fat ladies.

There are at least two books on his works with "obese" ladies.

One on nudes. I can't remember the name of this book.

The other book was titled "Dancer", where he engaged a slightly over-endowed dancer to pose. I have this book.

Have a look to see Irving's perspective on obese ladies.

Really doesn't matter if Irving Penn photographed thin or fat models for his personal work, or for that matter, any other of the masters and newbies. As you said, it is personal work, and therefore is subject to personal likes and dislikes.

I have seen Penn's work on the more endowed ladies, technically, very good, but on the subjective side, doesn't do me anything. This is a personal preference.

"d gals at tt corner" can start their contribution to this thread, otherwise, I am absolutely fine keeping it this way.
