Your pics are abit large for viewing. Shrink them to around 600 by 450 size.
This is more like a plant bug. Tiger beetles are those sliver bluish insects, with big mandibles. Your pics are quite nice. The white background looks unnatural though. For the 2nd pic, try get the focus on the eye of the subject. |

thanks for the comment, image reduced, will focus on the eye next time.
Shoot it at home that's why white background I see, not sure what insect is this, with long feeding tube below the body.

Thanks Ortega, will try to go out and shoot one day when I got my 5600HS flash back, this time got lucky, can bounce flash the wall with build in flash to get enough lighting.
Now I try it on KM5D, with the lens set to f/22 or lower, it seem to work better, especially to the depth of view part. Actually it's still possible to do autofocus, but way too slow and may not accurate.
