Nikon 5700 Newbie Needs Advise On Variable Adapter

Hello all Lao Jiaos out there, newbie here pays his respects to all

Remembered reading about the variable adapter for the Nikon 5700, but somehow cannot find it anymore.

AP has the variable adapter, which I hope to use to attach my 52mm filters. When the zoom is fully extended, it should not knock into the filter, right?

Later on, when stocks are in for the 1.5x tele-converter, I'll probably get it and fix on this adapter, too.

I've read on DPreview's forums that some users bought the 'Bernie' variable adapter. Has anyone here bought this adapter? How does it compare to the one available at AP?

Would really appreciate advise from other 5700 users, thank you.
