Had the u/w stills cam for 2 dives. Viz was very good - 20m at least!
Here are some shots that somewhat can make it (for me that means in focus lah). All taken with my 'new' A70 with inbuilt strobe. PS applied including levels, curves and contrast adjustments + USM ![]() Obligatory curious Batfish ![]() Flatworm (cropped alot) ![]() There were quite a few of these anemone shrimp? ![]() More of the same. Both cropped by at least 50% ![]() How many Gorgonian shrimp can you see? They were so tiny I didn't even know I managed to get so many. Just point, shoot and hope for the best. The second shot is overly cropped but it does work for me. As for the anemone shrimps, try to get them to face you.
Cheers and keep shooting |

second one seems oversharpened/overcropped? are those considered as gorgonian shrimps as well? but really quite a lot huh .... you finally got onto your trip, hehehe.. |

The Batfish swam pretty close so I was quite fortunate but it still required some serious PS manipulation to bring out the details. As for the Flatworm, I must have cropped from a 3 megapix to fit 640 x 480 just to get it that size. Guess I'd seen this fella too often so I just wanted to get a record shot and forgo the macro. I think Beivied is right in that I over- sharpened. As for them being gorgonian shrimps, I also dunno, since they were there I assumed they were lor...Thanks all for your comments!
