Anyone using this cam? Hows the performance so far? Got a few questions on it:

1) Is the noise reduction feature really good enough to give clean images of long exposures (e.g., > 4secs)?
2) Is the CA serious? Looked at the sample pics from Steves digicam site and was quite surprised that CA is very very minimal! Very unlike the common 'CA syndrome' characteristic of Olympus lens.
3) Finally, wat's the price of it now (roughly will do)?

A friend is interested in this cam, so helping to do a bit of research. Thanks for any inputs!

1) noise reduction will really stun you cause it really does remove noise. i do 16 secs exposures on night shots and it shows mi the before and after picture on the LCD while is processes the noise reduction and it's like magic poof gone the noise all gone. left with a crisp clear image.

2)CA? not sure though haven't tried going up close with my photos..

3) Price? it's around $825+- with 64MB smart media.

And Why don't post in Olympus forums This camera considered Other Equipment meh?

Thanks for the inputs! Very informative on the NR part.

As for the CA, you can try (when u r free) taking a picture of a tree against the sky. CA should show up if there is any.

Aiya! Haha, yes, i should have posted there. Pai say pai say..

after reading the review of the C-730 i think if i had another chance i would go for the camera instead of the C-4000z... it has almost everythign the C-4000z has and lacks.... but only at one megapixel difference..... Dual Media ,Sound video recording , 10x Zoom , EVF , nois reduction and pixel mapping... wish i could have one of thoese babies....
