MotorX with fireworks.

Noisy ISO1600 shot. Comments please.

Would prefer a closer shot of the biker. He looks like a toy.

Adding the ramp(foreground) tells the height of the flying biker. IMHO crop it tighter and portraiture-wise with the fireworks and a little of the ramp would be a better composition.
For sports shots, catching the action at its peak (before it comes down) would requires a slow shutter speed than when it is on its way up or down, that's science. And with a slower shutter speed, you may be able to reduce your iso and thus reducing the noise. I know it's easier said than done

great shot!

i've no problems with the relatively small size of the bike as it is the spectacular backdrop that makes this shot stand out from the other "standard" close-ups of the bike in mid-air. also gives you an indication of the elevation of bike (again, unlike the "standard" close-ups)
