Get on board the ghost boat

The Netherlands, land of the water...

Between kruiningen and Perkpolder used to be a ferry. You could cross the Westerschelde canal and have a cup of coffee or snert while the boat brings you and your car to the other side in half a hour.

The ferry stopped in 2003 because the tunnel under the westerschelde was ready. The ferry dock is abandoned since that day. I went there to photograph the remains of a rich ferry history for Holland.
