Default sunset on the rocks

havent shot any sunsets for a long time, so decided to make a trip to changi beach today. here's a black and white version of the sunset today

Frankly my personal opinion is that sunset/sunrise shots in B&W just doesn't show anything. Prefer it in color. That is the beauty of sunset.

Although ot in B&W it Capture the mood.

thanx for the comments

personally, i prefer this shot in b&w. perhaps, if the sunset was more spectacular, i'd have it in color, but not in this case.

Still lack some contrast.......just a teeny weeny little bit more to make the black more black.

Ah in that case more contrast as suggested by Pro Image.

danny: the darkest blacks are already blackest (those on the rocks). was going for softer toning. but i think u may be right, i will try one with higher contrast btw, u still bz with all the shoots? come out la kopi:P

Hi,

I m no expert in b&w just feel that ur last pic is pretty good interm of contrast n tone.
It a matter of personal preference. My master would say.... Black but with details, white but not washout.
hope i m not inviting any slamming.
