He is not stupid in the ways of how religion works and how to wave his 'magic wand' he is not the first to do this and it has worked for many western religious group that were found to have cheated or done wrong. This apologizing technique is a safety play they cast for sympathy and support in the hope it changes or soften the outcome they face. With another group, this is why they are so convincing in preaching their 'snake oil business' is because they managed to convince themselves they are the real thing and that what they do is for the good of the people. It's psychology 101.

    A good photo's 45% you, 45% practice & 10% equipment. A bad photo share the same ratio.

Apology is good for your soul regardless whether you're straight forward or crooked backward.

You don't need to have a reason or logic to do it.

I don't pity him as much as he deserves the punishment only those blind people who followed
him and they even blamed themselves for his 'unfortunate' predicament geezus

So you apologise to your soul for what? Admit to the wrong doing and accept the punishment.

The leaders, role models, do the followers also follow. So you want many to do likewise and just apologise for the sake of apologizing for not the wrong doing!!!

Wrong is wrong when you are found guilty just admit and tell your followers not to repeat what you have done!

Right. The heart rules the head. Therefore we must constantly/always remind all. It is Ok that some will never change. Leave them alone. A very good example is that CH attendance has less 25% now.

.... If you want to aplogoise, do it sincerely!

As to err is human, you are also a human. Just admit it and life continue. Just hope that you have learnt the lesson and do good.

Somehow have a different perspective on this. If you don't admit but apologize just to look good, it is an insincere apology. You will find all reasons to satisfy yourself you have done nothing wrong. It is not going to help your 'soul' if indeed there is one.

Once you apologise it's not your problem anymore.

You'll go to sleep better and let someone else carry the worry.

The founder has found someone to succeed him as a pastor and keep an eye on the organization he has built while he's away:

Religion is regarded by the common people as true,- this is ok.
But when religion is regarded by carnal people as true you will have many more carnal leaders endorsing the carnal lifestyle.

It's the same as an ex-leader of MCA in Malaysia. He being a married man was caught by video camera with a woman in a hotel room in Johore.

He was sorry that he always used the same hotel room with the woman.
