Which one would be a more prefered for half and full body portrait when using a 1.6 FOVCF dSLR?
Don't think I will choose the 50 f1.8 coz most of my filter are in 58mm size. |

Own both, both great for 1.6crop. 85 good for half body and head shots, 50 good for full body, quite good for half body. Having said that, the 50 1.8 performs so well, that it doesn't quite make sense to spend the few hundred extra to get the F1.4.

85mm f/1.8. Fast AF and true ring type USM and sharp at f/1.8, for $600+ its a good buy.

Did a search on previous post, most will recommend to buy 2, meaning 50 f1.8 and 85 f1.8. Maybe I will grab a 50mm f1.8 and check out whether I like the length and bokeh first before I decide on the 2.
