i just bought 4 of the energiser EPX-675 zinc air batteries from watsons at 6 bucks plus today. Apparently they are the same size and roughly the same voltage(1.4v as opposed to 1.35v) as the older mercury px675 batteries. I have yet to test them though but they were recommended in a recent thread when i asked for px675 replacements, so i guess they work.

They are also available at guardian.

Do U have the manual for the spot meter? U can follow the instructions on the booklet to loosen the screws and calibrate the meter. with a lightmeter.

Did it once and it was usable from that time onwards

nah. the TTL prism came packaged with my kiev 88CM from ebay. i got the instructions from kievholics. but, dun have a light meter handy. i used my DSLR to meter and compare. seems to be 1-stop(?) diff. eg my DSLR meters at 1/30, f2.8 ISO400 while the TTL prism shows 1/60, f2.8 ISO400.

I see. Have u done actual shoots using Slides yet?

There are 2 or 3 screws on the dial. You have to loosen it....adjust the dial to the desired value and rescrewed it back and you have calibrated your Kiev TTL spotmeter

Cheers
