melvynyeo, I liked the lighting for the cockroach. You used your flash? And what lens were you using?

Thanks. For the cockroach, I use my Vivitar 285 flash and Tamron 90mm Di.

I hate to say it...but the cockroach don't look so bad for macro shots! But I still detest them....esp flying ones...

Interesting shots from the new lens...Like the ant shots.....like travelling on the 'ant'press way...

Ha... actually, this IS the flying one. I heard that only the female can fly. Not too sure though

So much details!

How did you kill the roach without squashing it to mulm? If you use Shelltox, then it's toxic to handler after it's dead..

Cheers,

cockroach doesnt look that bad close up. Kinda cool looking helmet.
I still dont like flying cockroach.

By the way, i once remember a photographer put cockroach in freezer to slow down their movement by a lot but still alive. Then she/he painted them and photograph the insects.

maybe can help curb the phobia of roaches.. definately not me.. i still detest em.. esp the flying ones.. no license to fly.. definately a F for their flying.. but makes me wonder.. where you got the roach.. seems so "photogenic" on screen.. where the rest seems utterly disgusting..
