Default Munias

Munias are normally found in grasslands, scrubs and secondary forest. Due to the invasion of man into their environment they have adapted and can also be seen in urban areas and cultivated lands. Among the munias, scaly-breasted munias are among the most common and specialise in eating grass seeds and sedges (a grass-like plant). Here are some shots I'd like to share with you.

Take a closer look the next time you see some small birds feeding on grass seeds. It could be the munias.
