Your exposure looks 1/3 - 1/2 stops under for some of the photos.

Colours looks a little flat.

Hey bro,

My opinions entirely, and certainly nothing personal!

1. cyan cast doesn't go down well with me. that can be fixed easily in photoshop.

2. probably not the best angle or moment caught, but at least the window is wound down so the groom can be seen clearly. sometimes i do that too.

3. if u have a closer shot, i would like to see it. CLOSER, not close up, as in YOU go in closer. at the moment, the groom's back is the main attraction (which isn't that attractive) and the expressions by the sisters are cut off either by the bars on the door, or the shadows from ur flash. if u go in closer, it's easy to make minor adjustments to get the whole face of the sister in between the bars, if u know wat i mean. basically the further u stand, the more u have to move to change angle.

4. have a look at ur high res image again and tell me if u have focused on the bed in the background by mistake, becos it certainly looks like that's wat's happened here (not to mention underexposure which is apparent in more of the shots here as proimage pointed out). if u really did make a mistake and misfocused, DO NOT post it up as a showcase of your work. if you are posting it up to get advise on how to better the shot, this is a "mistake" that most, if not all of us, need no advise on how to fix. if u have focussed correctly and it's just my stupid eye that can't see, then just disregard this whole paragraph. (it might be the underexposure on the bride that makes the image look like the focus is behind her.)

5. from the DEfocused portions of this image, i had to GUESS wat was in focus, which i can only infer are rings, becos i see wat looks like a ring pillow. ok i guess those two reflections would be the rings. everythign else aruond it seems to be singing out for attn tho. if u wanna take such shots, make sure ur flash doesn't ram the foreground to bits but still being able to expose for the background. given, sometimes it's almost impossible to do so, esp with time constraints as they are walking towards u. if cannot, then cannot, shoot the shot, view it, then bin it, remember next time, try again, cannot, bin it, and repeat until succeed, if u never do then it's ok, digital dun waste film rite? if i were presented with this shot, i would point my flash direct to ceiling, hope that i have enuff GN on my flash, close down to 2.8 and iso of 800 or even 1600. or else, there should be a chair near by becos it's where they will be sitting to solemnise, use it as make shift tripod, and open shutter longer to get more ambient in, anyway the couple is out of focus in the background, a bit of motion blur by them walking won't hurt.

6. again, looks like i'm sitting there bored with the solemnisation and gazing out into the background... which seems more in focus....

7. your best shot here, is slight tilt intended? it's not tilted enuff to say it's TILTED, but it's not straight either....

8. er... i dunno wat to say here man..

9. this one also dunno wat to say. i would say 8 and 9 were just snap shots... were they? just fire off one frame as a record of "pple getting food" (8) and "bride and groom doing something, supposedly fun...?"(9)

hope u dun mind these straight to the point comments. actually halfway thru typing this i wanna stop liow.. cos rushing stuff for customers, but i thot, start already better finish. hope u dun mind the comments. and one last final (and not so nice comment): i don't like this series at all bro, sorry, and do hope that there was another photographer there covering the wedding if these are ur best shots... i know if these were produced for my wedding i would be very very upset.

my comments will either push u forward, or bring u down. i hope it does the former. so, keep shooting!

heya. Appreciate your comments and it is a push forward. I'm not the main photographer so I'm more in the experimental mode and yes, I can't move in closer because I will block the main photog and the videographer but will take notes of all the points. =)

Just a comment and an observation. #5, the idea of the picture is good, but it fell short in composition and exposure. Composition - you have to remove that wireless mic, it sticks out like a sore thumb, and the angle is off, too high, maybe, you shoot from a lower angle, level with the table, may give a more interest persepective.

To my observation, if the picture is not perfect, never show it to anyone, even if it's your friend, even if they tell you it's ok. It's never ok, because they will remember only the bad ones. Human nature. That said, way too many of us display, post, show, let other ppl see our bad pictures. For comments and ctitique, it's fine, but that's it!

Thanks... the no. 5, they are walking towards the table so its more of a snapshot but now I can see the bad choice of angle.
