Default Cooling off in the haze

Will the haze issue ever be solved?

Any suggestions on how it can be done?

If it's Singapore's problem alone it would have been solved long long ago.

But it's Indon's problem. So it'll be there long long into the future.

You'll be lucky if it doesn't get worse.

Sudden rise in PSI was a glitch.

It was indeed a glitch. A simple research will see the exact same tweets posted on the 4th of September.

and it has been continuously tweeted/posted again and again.

Using one's common sense, there is absolutely no reason for Vivian Balakrishnan, as a minister, to violate such rules when it clearly does not benefit him.

Then again, opportunists will continue to use such news to voice their hate towards the authoritarian government that they claim is harming Singapore.

Someone has to prove otherwise ......the same thing happened during GE 2011 with TPL ....... that also a glitch? .....

Anyway, he said that he had many members to thank ......that could be the reason for the repeated posts ..... copy and paste ......

no one said that the TPL incident was a glitch. let's not compare apples with oranges.
In fact, VB was not the only one who unfortunately became a victim of the glitch. Reform Party and People's Power Party happened to experience the issues too.

Maybe we have to wait till Mark Zuckerberg acknowledges this issue before we can use the Cooling Off day to stop nitpicking and rationally think about who to vote for.

    Source: http://news.asiaone.com/news/general...day-caused-bug
Meanwhile, the Elections Department (ELD) said in a statement that it noticed several election advertising posts on a few candidates' and parties' social media accounts. People's Action Party, People's Power Party and Reform Party were among those ELD cited as examples. [/url]
If only one can look at things objectively... but then again what's the definition of opportunists
As for the PPP, a video of its secretary-general Goh Meng Seng's rally speech on Wednesday was posted on its Facebook page after midnight. Mr Goh said the page's administrator "took longer than expected to upload the speech, hence the mistake". RP's chairman Andy Zhu said a member shared a post calling for volunteers and polling agents on the Facebook page of its youth wing. The member was abroad and unaware of the time difference, he added.

Don't think they produce anything except haze which they export a lot to Malaysia and Singapore.

Opportunists will find out their fate in the results of the election.

The future belongs to the appreciative true believers.

Funny isn't it? What happen to all the big brothers talking about environmental protection and involving in human right?

Seem that they are quite selective in intervening world matters. Are.they also part of those that benefit from these plantations? No buyers, no need to burn and local farmers will not cause this no matter how they burn. Otherwise they would be millionair

There is nothing environmental about haze.

It's their culture to send smokes to heaven to appease the dragon for its blessing for a good harvest.

    Nobody can change that.

Farmers have been doing just that for hundreds of years, do you sincerely believe they were the ones? The little.small plot of land with their crops will not burn down their own home.

You don't see this happening in Malaysia and Thailand. It is also NOT the Indonesian. 3rd parties were involved and get protected due to $. If we go after the $ sources, this annual event will be the pass. My personal take.

What if some of that $$$ is the people who you just elected or important allies???

What if it is your retirement funds invested in palm oil plantations?

Do you guys demand a fine or anything like that to be paid for this stuff???

Now these guys are demanding you all return them their airspace?

They are our big neighbour. Nothing much we can do actually. Just got to endure all their nonsense.

They have always seen us as an insignificant tiny dot.

We are so small that we are even smaller than their volcano mountain - lake toba. Google it.

Java and Jakarta will never be hit by haze. So low priority.
