Default first dives with F810 @ Derawan

Finally gotten the chance to test my new setup. The F810 would perform admirably in the right hands. Too bad mine weren't.

The images are crisp and sharp once u get used to the min. focusing distance (not the usual 3-5cm i am used to). By Murphy's law, my sharpest pygmy seahorse shot has the model looking the other way of course. Maybe I shall call this "Shy Bride"

as compared to

Nudis are most accomodating

and the jetty dives isn't just about macro

and here is the obligatory manta shot. too bad there is no manta dance but hey, i have a built-in video cam in my F810 ready for that next time.

it's 1.8" vs 2", not 2.5", so not much of a diff. U still need to go to a PC to see accurately. I still very much prefer the viewfinder of a DSLR.

Nice shots mate.. the manta shots seems abit overprocessed.

The shapness, contrast and saturation is there.
Well done mate.
