You are in Singapore. Therefore you are already "there".

I am not there because I am "here".

these are questions that we should all ask ourselves from time to time. From these base qns they can lead out to form other questions that can help your craft improve in time.

Just to share my side of the story:

    1) What do I want?
I want to share my view of the subjects I have shot to the people around and through it, perhaps share an understanding that we are not so different after all. A good chance to know myself in the process and to learn about the lives people lead.

    2) This is a question that still bugs me till today.
Who gives me the green light? Are my accomplishments/ standard based on the number of people who likes them or is it personal reckoning that says I'm ready for the next step? This sets achievers apart from complacents.

I think you may have misinterpreted my 2nd question as well

make sure they really MEAN what they say. Some ppl think that pro quality photos are the normal that anybody can churn out.

If like that I might as well conduct a wedding day photography workshop, use the couple as guinea pig, and tell them for $200 they can have 5 photographers plus one tutor for wedding day. super saving, super value.... (And I can collect money from both side, heheheh)

If I'm the client, I don't want hair light, back light, soft light, fill-in light, ambient light or any mombo jumbo lights. All I want is catchlights........to shoot for me.
I get paid more shooting part time ...... damn, I should find more time to shoot part time

Alot of things depends on yourself, don't feel discourage if fails for a number of times.

I have come to a extend that my wedding pics are acceptable already i must say, but i still forcing myself to shoot better, different angles, and training my eyes for little things that looks good. Visual is important.

Just get tough to yourself, force yourself to the extend that you go home happy, knowing you got the pics you want, not just producing pics to give, BUT SOMETHING YOU WANT.

    My speech ends.

You can't get catchlights for S$200 whole day. Not even S$2,000 half day and he is booked up 12 months ahead.

I heard People start to book him for wedding photography the day they went out with a girl.
