Being the sole bread winner of the family of 5 and having an income of $80K p.a previously, I've no choice but to hold two jobs now after getting the big R, yes not retirement but retrenchment. For info, my job kinda paying only a quarter of my previous pay and quite used to the good life, so no choice got to hold TWO JOBS? Jus for sharing purposes.

when one is in such a situation, no dout energy will be needed. but it is determination to see that one's family are better taken care of which will see one through. for example, i know an unemployed man with mouths to feed at home cleans up a stall at a coffee shop nightly for $5 a night. if not, the benkalis will glad do it too. there are some of them moonlighting doing this at coffeeshops.

Well, I take up jobs not for the moola, but to defray (and hope to recover) my equipment costs.

It can't always be I dump money into the sea right? The sea must throw some back to me...

Unfortunately, with a very awful incident that happened very recently to me that left a very bitter taste in my mouth, it made me wonder if I shld charge ppl minimal cost or the standard market rate since they think I'm a carrot head meant to be chopped with their sad words and whilst they luff all the way to the bank at the end of the day.

I don't have the luxury of overlooking a couple of hundred (potentially a thousand) bucks since I'm not a big earner. Rich ppl can afford big stuff and overlook 'small money'. But den again I can't overlook that kind of money on a commercial shoot that will earn me at least a thousand (which is almost equivalent to a 3/4 mth salary for me).

Didn't manage to win big time > 600K Toto, so i do the next best thing, freelance photos. It's not so bad, where can you find a job which pays you like $60/hr, you are your own boss so you do the call whether to work or not.

At least beats working as $8 waiter at banquets.
