How about solid, light, and not expensive?

    Thank you in advance.

What is your max load setup? for those with deep pocket, go for carbon fiber like Manfrotto , Gitzo etc. else consider the alloy version such as Slik 330DX

That depends how solid and light you have in mind. If you find one, do let me know.
I only know that the good and light ones can go anywhere in the hundreds to almost 1K for tripod and ball head.

If u have the "lightest" tripod.. but not the ball/pan head, it still a "heavy" or unbalanced tripod.
light weight doesn't come cheap, in just the tripod, as well as the ball/pan head.

For CF tripod.. the cheaper but lower quality grade compared to Gitzo: Benro, Velbon or Slik etc...

But can u be abit more specific?? Not expensive as in how much??

there are such people, just that we are not in the right place to know them.
either that we are not smart enough to know they exist.

Find a smart girl first, while a plastic surgeon will take care of the rest.

Not difficult to find what.... got so many pretty, good sharp and smart girls around here also.

The only problem is whether you can find one that she is interested on you or not?

i've not seen such a short tripod so far.. anyway Reporter AW 400 is not very big also..

why not u get a tripod bag or a sling/strap when purchase the tripod? isn't it easier for u??

Good and Cheap is not light.

hey, I think I got similar problem.

My exploration so far point to this combination as compact, handy, light wt, and with little cool factor (hahaha) and not 'so ex..'

feisol 3401 + the new RRS BH40 (lever version). (total $ still >$1K)

    any one got better option?
