Nothing much for today...
Manchester United manager José Mourinho wants to sign Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
José Mourinho will move for Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko should he fail to sign Juventus' Paul Pogba.
DEAL DONE: West Ham have signed striker Ashley Fletcher from Man United. Four-year deal.
For 120 million Euros and more than double his previously salary, I am surprised Pogba did not give any reaction, playing wanted star. IMO I would rather buy 2 to 3 players instead. Look at Sterling, Man City paid so much for him but in truth how much contribution did he give to the team in terms of points when it mattered last season?, non what so ever but a liability. Now under Pep G, he may not be in the first team even. You can tell the true talent or just too much false hopes and hip about his ability. Therefore, if we cannot get Pogba, so be it. I m sure there are young and better midfielders out there to be discovered and tried upon at a very very much lower price tag.
Today's rumours ...
Man United are continuing to monitor 17-year-old West Ham defender Reece Oxford.
Paul Pogba has agreed terms over a £100m move to Manchester United.
Former Man United player and assistant manager Ryan Giggs is considering a move to the Indian Premier Futsal League.
DEAL DONE: Jimmy Dunne has signed for Burnley from Manchester United on a free transfer.
Juan Mata, Marouane Fellaini and Daley Blind set to be given Manchester United lifelines by Jose Mourinho in pre-season
Jose Mourinho is ready to keep Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini at Manchester United – and hand Daley Blind a chance to prove himself.
Sportsmail understands the Portuguese is keen to give the fringe trio a pre-season opportunity to impress, in a move that may come as a surprise to many.
When Mourinho was Chelsea manager he sanctioned playmaker Mata's move to Old Trafford in 2014.
At the time he thought the offer - £37.1million – was too good to turn down.
Mourinho favoured Oscar, believing that the Brazilian could carry out defensive duties more effectively while remaining an attacking threat – something he thought the Spaniard may struggle with.
And while Mata may not be the multi-functional footballer Mourinho treasures, he is expected to remain at the club - for the time being at least.
The news will delight Mata, who sought assurances about his future after Mourinho's appointment.
He has settled well in Manchester and has immersed himself in the city. In May he was at the opening of a tapas restaurant in which both he and his father hold a stake.
While Mourinho believes he can bring out the best in the attacking midfielder, the lack of a suitable club for Mata to move to is also a factor.
The 28–year-old received a hefty salary increase when he moved to Old Trafford and potential suitors in his homeland, including Barcelona and Real Madrid, currently have a wealth of options in the No 10 position.
Instead, Mata is likely to remain at United, albeit in a rotational role rather than as a first-team regular.
Fellaini, an unorthodox yet functional presence, is not a crowd favourite, with many of the club's faithful questioning whether he is 'a Manchester United player' since his £27.5m transfer from Everton in 2013.
However, those hoping that Mourinho's arrival would pave the way for the 28-year-old Belgian's departure are set to be disappointed.
The new manager believes Fellaini's aggression adds a key element to his squad and is happy to keep him at United.
Mourinho is keen on bringing defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic to United, but whether Chelsea would allow a reunion to take place is unclear, with new manager Antonio Conte wanting to assess his squad.
Meanwhile, the versatile Daley Blind is expected to be given an opportunity to show Mourinho why his predecessor, Louis van Gaal, paid £16m for his services in 2014.
Reports that Blind was available were said to have interested Arsenal, however Sportsmail understands that Mourinho is happy to give the Dutchman a chance.
Blind, despite standing at 5ft 9in, played the majority of last season at centre back but can fulfil a number of positions and could be deployed elsewhere by the new manager.

Nothing much for today's rumour
Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has confirmed his interest in re-joining Man United, calling them his "first family".
Raphael Varane is a long-term target for Manchester United and Jose Mourinho is a big fan following his time coaching the defender at Real Madrid.
However, Los Blancos have handed Varane the No. 5 shirt for the new season, hinting at a more prominent role that could halt any possible move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United winger Memphis Depay is interested in Barcelona according to reports.
José Mourinho is now ready to keep Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini at Manchester United.
José Mourinho is also going to give Daley Blind a chance to prove himself at Old Trafford.
MATCH PREVIEW: WIGAN ATHLETIC V UNITED
Match details: This pre-season friendly against Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium will kick off at 13:30 BST on Saturday 16 July and the match will be shown exclusively live on MUTV for subscribers. You can also follow the action via ManUtd.com’s live blog and the club’s official Twitter account @ManUtd, while tickets are still available to buy for official members and season ticket holders.
Setting the scene: Before flying over 5,500 miles to China for Tour 2016, presented by Aon, the dawn of a new era at United will begin less than 30 miles up the road in Wigan. The composition of Jose Mourinho’s first squad as manager is yet to be revealed, with a number of youth players expected to join a sprinkling of seniors against the Latics, though the new boss’s formation and tactical approach is sure to be scrutinised by supporters. This is a must-watch for all Reds.
Fixture congestion: This may sound odd but Wigan have scheduled another friendly against Liverpool for Sunday afternoon at 16:00 BST – which is just over 24 hours after facing United! It is presumed that they will field two separate squads for the double-header.
A word from Wigan: In a statement to announce the friendly with United, Latics chairman David Sharpe looked forward to a big weekend for his club: “This will be Jose Mourinho’s first game in charge as manager of Manchester United and there will be a big focus on the DW Stadium,” he said. “These two games will certainly give the supporters a great way to welcome our players back to the DW after the summer break and will be great occasions.”
Opposition manager: Gary Caldwell regularly faced the Reds as a player with Wigan and Celtic, demonstrating a no-nonsense defensive style that might have prompted expectations of a similar approach to management. Rather, the former Scotland international gave his side plenty of creative license throughout his first full season in the dugout, culminating in promotion to the Championship and the LMA League One Manager of the Year award.
Who’s their star man? Latics striker Will Grigg was the name on lips all over France during Euro 2016 as his chant – “Will Grigg’s on fire, your defence is terrified,” to Gala’s Freed From Desire – invaded headspaces all summer long. Though he didn’t play a single second of competitive action during Northern Ireland’s campaign, the 25-year-old was the star of Wigan’s promotion charge of 2015/16 with 28 goals in 42 games – including 12 in his last 12 games. Impressive stuff! He also scored twice against the Reds for MK Dons back in August, 2014.
Previous meetings: Of 18 competitive clashes, United have beaten Wigan 17 times in a run of success that includes the 2006 League Cup final, 2008’s Premier League clincher and the 2013 Community Shield. Though the Latics’ sole win was a damaging 1-0 triumph in 2011/12, the 56-5 goal difference in the Reds’ favour speaks volumes for the balance of this North-West rivalry.
Did you know? The DW Stadium was officially opened during the summer of 1999, when Sir Alex Ferguson’s United played in a pre-season friendly after winning the Treble a few months earlier.
