Apparently this Pedro thingy is due to the 2 Spanish keepers we have, they have been telling Pedro bad things about LVG. Even Herrara whom I think should be playing alongside Schneiderlin as the first chance midfield is not favored by LVG.

So maybe some dressing room unrest?

Oh ya ... make sense lol ... ya we need an out and out striker ... esp Rooney is begining to felt that he is not good enough for the team ...

Mufc XI: Romero; Darmian, Smalling, Blind, Shaw; Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger; Mata, Januzaj, Memphis; Rooney.

subs: Johnstone, McNair, Valencia, Carrick, Herrera, Young, Chicharito.

This should be one of our strongest start!

HT: Mufc 0 Newcastle 0. Rooney's had a goal disallowed for offside, with Mitrovic hitting the bar for the visitors.

Schweni is slightly injured. Goal ruled out wrongly for offside. Newcastle on top of us at the end of the first half. Mata always shuffled on the wings, donno for what?

Not much penetration so far I'm afraid. Tough to score!

FT: Mufc 0 Newcastle 0. Frustration for the Reds as the game ends goalless despite plenty of attacking threat.

Really in need of a finisher / striker!

IMO the lack of finisher is one thing but what are our current problems, why are we not scoring with the existing team? After 4 games, including CL qualifying game, it got to be clear to LVG by now where are the missing links, right? If we need to buy, then go ahead, don't wait anymore. Unless those he targeted cannot and will not come. There are still plenty of good strikers out there. Really hope we can do better as each game passed. We lost 2 points at home against Newcastle.

Yes we do need a striker that's for sure. Surprisingly, Smalling has stepped up his game this season and for the past 3 games, has been a rock in the defense. All we can hope for is when Jones and Rojo comes back from injury, it will further enhance the squad's defense.

LVG in my opinion has been using Memphis, Januzaj and Mata so wrongly. Januzaj is no more than a winger who performs best when going to the wing sending crosses in or cutting in to shoot from outside. Memphis is exactly the same on the other wing. Young has been performing so well last season but he has been dropped this season just for LVG to play Januzaj in the middle. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Why did Man Utd sign Memphis in the first place from PSV? He provides goals and goals galore cutting in from the left! In the first 2 games, LVG placed him in the hole behind Rooney. Trying way too hard. Play to the player's strength for God's sake.

Mata is a poor soul. Shuffled left right centre just to accomodate other players. Enough said.

Sign a striker, get the players' position right and carry on the clean sheets!

Someone explain to me how LVG considered that Pedro 'would not fit into the team'? LOL

Pedro certainly did well for Chelsea. Helping Chelsea to get the badly needed points. But only first game and so difficult to tell how he will pen out for the whole season. With Hazard and Pedro I believe enhances the play maker options for Chelsea. We definitely need some fresh ideas and attacking flair upfront. LVG makes the call and hopefully he can get the right strategies and MU can do better effectively.

Look at our strike force: Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, James Wilson, Memphis Depay...Are they going to give us goals for the rest of the season? I doubt it is enough, none of them are consistent goals scorers by record. How did LVG come to this miserable stage? Now he felt that Marouane Fellaini can be changed into forward striker from midfield role. Does he believe that goals will come from him instead of out-to-out strikers? Clean sheet is no good for us, without scoring goals, we will be in big big trouble if our defense go into injuries in anticipation for the long season. It will be double whammy if strikers cannot score, defenders come down with injuries. LVG needs to solve the goal scoring problem now and quickly.

    It is indeed very worrying..

Especially now LVG has come out and say that we are better without the ball.. How to play and score without possession of the ball ?!

He is getting weirder by the day.. Is he losing the plot already?..

Not forgetting the issue with De Gea.. Did he really say he doesn't want to play?..
