Thread: Man Utd XVIII: Back to challenge the silverware!

    3-3 United played pretty decently..

But finishing was poor from United..
Poor Lingard was substituted after missing a good chance..
But Fellaini played for full 90 after missing an even better chance and giving possession away countless number of times..

Again, we benefited from another dubious penalty awarded from the referee. So we started well given the advantage and added another goal. Normal game, when 2-0 for a top 3 finishing club, should be able to get the 3 points. But But we just let Newcastle back on the game... where are the defence. The equaliser by 2-2 by Newcastle, look at the derense, slow and did not read the opponent set play. Head down and incoming player to score first time strike. Our defense caught ball watching and slow to react. We paid the price. Giving Newcastle confidence of getting back at us. As everyone celebrated Rooney supposedly winning goal, Again letting Newcastle chasing for the equalizer, we got unlucky from long range came Newcastle equalizer. So we still end up with a draw, one point and 1 win from 8 games is simply not acceptable for MU no matter what excuses LVG can say about it now. Hope that other top 3 clubs flatters for us to play catch up going forward.

VAN GAAL WANTS FIFTH VICTORY OVER LIVERPOOL

Louis van Gaal agrees Manchester United versus Liverpool is the biggest fixture in English football and the boss is determined to make Reds supporters happy at Anfield on Sunday.

Van Gaal has overseen four consecutive wins over the Merseysiders that began with a pre-season triumph at the beginning of his managerial reign in 2014. That led to doing the ‘double’ over Brendan Rodgers’ side last season before securing another success at Old Trafford earlier this season.

But not forgetting Klop cause LVG his job at Bayern Munich in Bundesliga...

    So hmm ...

mufc XI: De Gea, Young, Smalling, Blind, Darmian, Schneiderlin, Fellaini, Lingard, Herrera, Martial, Rooney.

Sub: Romero, Borthwick-Jackson, McNair, Varela, Pereira, Mata, Memphis.

Lingard and Fellaini keep missing chances and keep getting selected think their misses might cost us the game tonight as well.

FULL-TIME Liverpool 0-1 Man Utd. A record-breaking goal from Wayne Rooney earns 3 vital points

We sure got lucky today where Liverpool just could not put the ball into our net. Thanks to De Gea heroics again. As for the attacking, you got eyes to see, how many chances and did we create any real ones...perhaps a couple on target. Rooney scored where he should be, other than that where is MU attack?? All MU seems so disorganized in attacking IMO. How about Martial, another off day! The game is all about De Gea saving us and Liverpool lousy finishing. Clearly both sides lack killer scorer. The players resort to shooting from long range... sad to see this happening. Anyway, we got the 3 points needed. I believe this is not LGV tactics that win us this game...its individual effort by Rooney. The lack of attacking flair and consistency is not there. Hope MU can make a swift change and rid of LVG who most of us (including ESPN hosts and sports commentators by now agree MU under him is not going anywhere.
