Default Should I upgrade from the EPL3?

For some reason, I feel slightly ill-satisfied with my EPL3, its not that it doesn't take good photos, its just it looks a lot like a compact camera rather then a Novice or Enthusiast camera and lacks two dials for manual shooting. So I was thinking if I should Trade it for a EP3 or GH1/2? As they seem better, but I am still not sure if it would be worth it though, am I losing any features? Or am I just over thinking this? Opinions and suggestions are welcome.

For the more pro look, how about em5 or em10

I was thinking of it, but I was hoping to trade only without top up, you think I could be able to trade for a EM5 if I throw in the VF3?

Keep the E-PL3, buy E-P3. Decide what you want and need, then sell the unwanted. You may keep the small size E-PL3 as back-up

Hmm good advice, but the thing is I don't have a lot of time on my hands for the next few weeks, so I was hoping to trade, as I don't have money to buy another body outright, and I don't have time to sell the body then find another EP3. this is driving me crazy

might be tough. Em5 owners probably want to trade up to em1. And no point settling for an old entry level model even with evf since em5 already has the evf. Better to sell then look for the em5.

Sell it and buy what you want...
No time to sell and buy ? Then better to keep it

Trade to SLR and learn manual control.

Noob me personally have a E-PL3 before getting a D-SLR for manual shooting. I still use the E-PL3 occasionally.

You may want to consider other higher end mirror-less models with dials for manual shooting (but expensive) or consider D-SLR that match your needs (budget, handling, etc) but your existing lens may not mate with your D-SLR option.

So now you are seeking a change cos of the capabilities of the camera or because you wanna look more "pro"?

I would wait a while more for the EP5's price to drop further if I were you.
Why pixel-peep? Go out and shoot more!

If you are not a professional, why bother how ur camera looks? Nobody dictates that an image capturing device need a pentaprism, or have mechanical dials for that matter. If however, the lack of features in your camera is restricting your photography, then by all means upgrade to a better one.

If looks and physical controls are of high priority, you're already OK with EPL3's image quality, and there's strict budget constraint, perhaps you can consider 2nd hand bridge cameras or older DSLRs

Anyway, having a camera that looks like a compact isn't necessarily a bad thing, it can even be a plus if you want to be more discreet (e.g. in street photography)
