Default FZ5 lost = FZ30 buy!

Hi frens,

I lost my FZ5 last weekend (yeah my forgetfulness again). Only had it for 2 months. Got a big nagging from my wife. Being realistic, I think I won't see it again.Anyway trying to be positive, I will slave thru next few months doing OT to buy FZ30. Since playing with the FZ5, now can't live without a digicam. Having nightmares and flashback already.

I still have the Pana MC protector, tube, battery and charger with me. Will sell them once I get the camera (FZ30 I mean).

Need help if anyone can tell me pricing of TCON 17, WCON 08B and Nikon 6T. Need to save up to get those items.

Thanks.

Called Cathay Peninsula last month and the man quote me $180. Told him I was quoted around $130+ from John 3:16 and Alan's Photo. He sounded angry and told me no stock. Two weeks after that got from Cathay Maraina Square for $140.

on $$ & features FZ30 will win D50 by a big margin. unless u spend lots more $$$$$ on lenses. like their whole range of VR lenses!! how not 2 like d compactness of a 12X o.i.s. lense??

Hee neither I dun see how D50 will win FZ30. Noise performance is better by a lil bit, but still bad (at least, it's MUCH better than D70s).

As mentioned, unless you've got extra $7k to spend on the len$ to match the FZ30.
I read an article saying dSLR manufacturers are dropping prices of bodies in order to hook people on their system, but keep prices high enough so that not everyone can get a dSLR (you know, to make people lust for what they can't really have?). Anyway, try to go for at least a D70s. You'll see/feel the difference soon enough.

After you get their system, unlikely you're gonna switch the whole system. When you find out that the camera you've bought is crap, you've got no choice but to buy more expensive cameras from them.

Hee whatever, now waiting for you to post news of your FZ30 + more images for us to @@..
cheers

If you can spare more cash, I'd recommend the D70s instead. The kit lens that come with it is reason enough for me to choose D70s over D50. But of course, that's in the future for you lah.

Save up for your fz30! I was playing with my friend's cam and it's fantastic! I'd gripe about some points here & there but overall it's a good cam.

Pana still rocks...
