    Default Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4 vs Canon 300mm f/4 USM IS L

Anyone used both lenses before (Switched system users or owned both systems) ?
How is the comparison in sharpness, contrast, saturation and focusing speed ?
Any clue what the new price for a Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4 ? A pity the nikkor counterpart does not have VR. Thanks and have a nice day because it is friday !

AF-S 300/4 is as light as the 70-200VR, a very pretty piece of glass.

    Heard the 70-200 VR + 1.4TC is as good as a AF-S 300/4 ? True ?

Yep... about there, the versatility is on the 70-200VR. The 300/4 + 2X also quite good, but the handshake is a bit jia lat, recommend tripod. And don't bother to AF, you're faster with MF
