Hi,
I have a Canon S1 IS lying around. Thinking of buying the WP-DC20 and use it as a UW camera. Any feedback on the S1 as a UW camera? Where can I get the housing at a decent price? Will not be getting external flash or other accessories. Thanks. |

You can buy the UW housing at John 3:16. I got mine about 1 year ago, not sure if they still have stock. The housing is ok to use but may be a little tough to switch modes esp when u are UW. Wouldn't suggest anything other than the original casing still.
I'm having some trouble taking good shots with the S1 (no ext flash) UW though, all shots are almost always under exposed. I think it is a must to get ext flash and arms etc which would set you back another $1k. If you want i can send you some samples of what i took underwater to show you just how under exposed they get. Right now i'm upgrading to a D70s, the UW casing is like...OUCH. |

Are you still interested in the S1 underwater case? I am selling mine at $200.
