Default Blatant theft of photographic works to fake a portfolio - shimmeryphotography

It has been brought to our attention that several new members are looking very suspicious in their posts and activity on ClubSNAP. We have looked into their accounts and have reason to believe they are doing ninja advertising for their new wedding business. The following accounts have been identified as related to this photography company ( Shimmery Photography aka http://www.shimmeryphotography.com aka https://www.facebook.com/shimmeryphotography aka https://plus.google.com/+Shimmeryphotographysingapore ) :
    L15ach0ng
    YangLing
    14benedictlow
    wilsonwongjw
    baletan90

We have also been alerted to their blatant disregard for copyright. Almost every single piece of photographic work in their website has been identified as work stolen from other photographers, with the original watermarks cropped away.

Here are screenshots of Shimmery's website:

ClubSNAP is a community of photographers and image creators. We take copyright extremely seriously. We will not tolerate any blatant disregard of copyright, nor do we welcome any participation from photography providers who exhibit this kind of unethical behavior. As such, after discussions among the moderator community, these members has been suspended with immediate effect, and queued for deregistration.

While we refrain to lay any judgement on the actual quality of their work (we have yet to see any of their original work), we would strongly advise potential customers to think twice before using their services, based on the way they operate alone.

Finally saw some of their original work...

Blur, bad composition, bad lighting, total lacking in basic photographic skills. "Quality" indeed.

There should be an internship corner... Then new photographers can learn the ropes. Rather than a desperate attempt to get into the market.

that is what the professional photographer associations are for, they offer trainings, workshops and seminars, apprentice / photographer network, mentorship and certification etc.

but what happen when someone post a thread to ask buy what camera/lenses/flash to shoot wedding for the first time, or how to shoot a wedding, or how to charge for shooting a wedding since have not done a paid shoot before,

do we tell them not to do it and point the right direction to them?
or pretend like a guru can transform them into a wedding photographer by posting some tips?

So, in which way is really helping them and also to the industry?

no wonder this looks familiar... i almost engage Koro studio for my pre wedding shoot although i went with another Thai photographer in the end. This location is taken in some thai university in bangkok.

I will contact Koro Studio about this stolen image and see if he wants to pursue legal action.

The only short cut to be a good wedding photographer is to spend a few years of hardwork, working under the guidance of professional photographers.

They registered using GoDaddy and they opted for the private registration option.
Their listed address is to a commercial building but they did not provide a unit number.
They listed a landline phone number though, so that is the only lead.
