Did you use any flash at all? Cannot see the usual harsh shadow in your pix.

Yup.. I used direct flash (No bounce, no difusser nothing.. haha) with flash compensation of -0.6 and ISO 800.
Probably not much harsh shadows coz I am shooting the models further away from me due to my lens range ?

Thanx for replying. Now I know better why your lighting looks much more natural than mine . Didn't dare to use high ISO because was afraid my pictures would turn out too noisy/grainy. Mebbe next time I should tone down my flash to -ve EV to test the effect .

Thanks. My 2nd try at these type of event, the first try was at the shanxi troupe earlier this year and also using the same lens. I thought it will be a disaster this time as I only brought a fixed lens and it was a bit too long as the stage is so close, so just reduce my flash power.
