Well, camo tapes mentioned are not gaffer tapes. This term "gaffer" is so loosely used nowadays that people think that any kind of tapes can be gaffer tapes

Strictly speaking, gaffer tapes are used for stage, theatre, AV and photography, even sky diving. In other words, apply, remove without fuss and apply it somewhere else. Duct tapes are used for repair purposes, in other words, apply and leave it them permanently.

According to your thread title, you're looking for gaffer tapes that are camo design. So far, even the established companies such as Permacel and Apollo do not produce gaffer tapes that are camo design.

Not sure if these are going to leave behind residue as they've not mentioned it anywhere on their website. The camo design ones in http://www.duct-tape.com/camouflage_ducttape.html are actually duct tapes, that cost 3 times cheaper than gaffer tapes, and has a more aggressive adhesive that leaves behind a messy goo. In fact, you can buy them from one of the military shops near sophia road or beach road.

To get around that, many nature photographers /videographers actually apply a layer of gaffer tape on their equipment as a base, followed by the camo tape.

Actually they do have gaffer tape too & it says tat it wont leave residue. It is on the left side of the page.

There are gaffer/cloth based tapes with camo design however I bought them from the States quite sometime ago. They do not leave a messy goo when removed but does cost around USD$15 IIRC for like 20 yards.

You can check B&H. I am pretty sure I saw some camo-designed gaffer/cloth based tape under bogen/manfrotto for around the price I bought. However you should check with them if they are what you want. Though the shipping will kill you unless someone organises a MO.

Not heard of gaffer tapes only available in forest green and desert brown. Where's the black? Gaffer tapes has very specific uses, not sure what situations would require them to be these two colours only.

You can try. Min order of these tapes are in carton of 24, buying individual rolls is about $35.oo per roll not counting s&h and GST. I've been bugging Apollo and Permacel for these camo ones and they're not making it because there's no demand from it.

Pardon me for being skeptical..I've never heard of the brand and don't think I would want to do an MO for that tape because other than for Clubsnap, no one else would want to buy them....unlike the black ones that are sold to theatre company in cartons of 24.

If you are interested, I should be around City Hall area this comming thursday. You can take a look at the camo tape I am using and see if its what you want.

I can try to check with B&H in regards to their Camo gaffer tape from Bogen/Manfrotto and see its non-residual as I am sure that is pretty much the concern here. I do not mind helping out with a MO but I would need full payment upfront and i will pass u a photocopy of my details for security purposes as well.
