Default 5D does Chinese Opera

A Chinese Opera in our local area was held & i took the D5 for a stage test. Most shots using kit & the tamron 70-300. It was a good thing that the AEL boton had the spot metering option as i always had to spot meter coz of the spotlight that directly hit's thier white face & cloths. ISO range from 400~800 mostly at the 70mm range. All no Flash.

Bro they allowed to shoot in the theater??!!!! WOAH!!!

Anyway very impressive shots, especially the subtle details still in the background given that u said the spotlight was on the actors' faces most of the time... I'm impressed by the skill in exposure and also the excellent performance of the 5D's CCD...

If I were to take it in Singapore in a theater, I would probably have my head conked off with my camera... wielding that 70-300mm would have annoyed everyone around me...
