Default Green Crab Spider, Ladybird

Took these today. Seems like my usual haunt has a healthy population of green crab spiders.....just within 1m of shrubs, I saw 4 of them of various sizes. Here is one of them which moved alot, and changed its position too. Also, I notice they spin alot of thread, and they use it to move from leaf to leaf...... And just as my son's lesson was about to be over, I notice the ladybird! It was moving all the time, so had to move along to take the shots....well, if had more time, would have taken more....

Appreciate any comments!

FZ10+6T+Sigma CU, Ext bounce flash, ISO 50, F8, various speeds

These positions are quite unusual for this green crab spiders. They usually remain still and prone on the leaf. Notice the thread on the rear of the first pic? There are plenty of dangling threads from leaf to leaf at the bushes there, and I think these fellas are the culprits...(have seen the threads in the past....so now I think I know who caused them)

Another lovely macro from you I really like the clean BG. I have trouble getting nice BG for my setup

Look like the spider is trying to mimic a flower or you are too close for comfort and trying to scare you off

The shadow on the #3 look weird though.

Thanks Melvyn!
Heh heh, the shadow is fine, its the reflection from the leaf at the extreme left that is wierd....its those shiny reflection you often see on such leaf, and I use PS to burn it....u can see the greyish tint.

You are right. Maybe cos the place I shoot is so small, it forces me to search carefully for subjects to shoot, and if it were bigger, I may spend more time walking than searching in detail.... But not all the time I get subjects....last week was bad. Sometimes, the gardener trims the shrubs so get nothing....so everyweek is a new experience!
