Am using Sonys. Quite alright.
But reality for all NiMHs is that after 1-2 yrs use, they drain faster and faster. I bought mine from Alan Photo in Sim Lim, as well as some from Mustafa's. Rgds, MW |

There seems to be two versions from Sony - one the orange/silver-grey ones and the other the orange/blue version (which has the word "Sony Stamina" on them). Are they both OEM from Sanyo? The Stamina one is more expensive though.

Hey, I am having the same super-fast-discharging problem with the 2500mah Sanyo. Find that my old Sanyo 2300mah actually last longer. Very irritating.
Suggest you buy the Maha 2500mah or 2300mah. They are known to be much better. |

I have been using GP batteries with my sony cams for about 3 years now. Good and cheaper...
Just got the 1hour charger... did not see the need for a 15min super fast... especially since for the extra money, I can get more batteries... Using the 2300mAh quite good.

Well NiMH can't beat the Li ion for power BUT they are much cheaper. And with improving technology that allow their rating to go higher and higher, they are still a relatively good workhorse.
I think a Li ion AA batt will cost many times the price of a NiMH one, so no point right?
