    Default Battery Grip of EOS350D

    Hi,

I bought the above and also make use of the double A rechargeable battery (brand new).
After putting into the 350D, the camera only show 1 bar instead of the normal full bar.
Is this normal, anyone got the same experience to share?

Rechargables are usually 1.2 V instead of 1.5 volts each. I don't know if that is causing the issue or not though but that would be my first guess. Try some regular 1.5 v batteries and see if you get the same thing?

    Hi Marmbo,
You guess is right! I put in the normal AA batt with 1.5v and it now shows full bar.
So is there any 1.5v rechargeable batt in the market?

wingman, I experienced the same thing too. So now I bought another Battery Pack (NB-2LH) to make use of the 2 battery bays in the grip.

I use 2x NB2LH (1500's the giant capacity ones that we ordered o'seas in MO) in the tray and have been using the camera average once every 3-4 days since 30 Aug......

its 23 Sep almost a month already about 2000+ exposures from HK trip+ b'day parties+ lantern festival+ weekend shooting, multiple frequent use of LCD preview and plenty of nagivating of menu system...... still showing full bars!!!!!

wowz......my battery charger is collecting dust!!!!
