Default Olympus mju-II good for a point and shoot?

It's ultra-compact and has a 35mm large-aperture F2.8 lens... It also has spot metering. Auto Exposure Range: EV1.0(F2.8 , 4 sec.)-EV17 (F11,1/1000 sec.)

Is it comparable to Yashica T4 or T5?

It's a great camera!!

Read about it here. Some folks actually start comparing it with the yashica.

Default any ideas abt the price?

i'm currently looking for a similar model for my other half, the mju-II 140zoom. have to get one before the end of the month. having read the sites provided by mpenza and que lynn, i have a tougher choice now!

how's the mju-II zoom series compared to the simple P&S types? actually, i have a mju-II 115 zoom and all i can say is that the cam has served me really well for the last couple of years now..so i was wondering if the mju-II is good enough without the zoom functions.

well, the mjuII doesn't have zoom functions, but that's not a disadvantage.

it has a faster, brighter lens (35mm/f2.8) than its zoom brothers.

I just bought one mjuII (35mm f2.8) and still haven't finished the first roll. itz very compact and easy to carry. almost am carrying wherever i go. I am very eager to see the result of my first roll in this camera.

only the non-zoom one has a fast F2.8 lens though. costs around $180.

If you are thinking of getting zoomable ones, get the one that starts with 28mm (I think they call it 80w 28-80mm??)

Most zoom able ones starts at 38mm... if that is the case I rather get an A40
