Like to find when the delete button is depress does your d70 rear casing seems to be loose or is it normal ? Because mine when pressing the delete button seems to be.

Like popping up right? Can't believe this is happening since day one. They are never build it like it used to be.

Perhaps I have higher tolerance for s-h-i-t quality. I live with it.

In fact, due to this problem I am rather surprised to discover that the body is made with PC that "flexes" so easily. I doubt that its PC, it could be some ABS/PC "alloy plastic".

what rear casing are you guys talking about? I have been pressing mine and it does not give at all and nothing seem loose or flexing. It is pretty darn solid.

The part where the red arrow points when depress seems to be loose. That is why trying to find out if it is the design or defect so that i can maybe bring it down to the service centre to have it fixed.

AH.,..I think you mean it has a bit of a hollow feel to it when you apply pressure. Nope...I can't push down mine or maybe I am not using monster strength to press down on it. Bought mine in July'04.

Mines got a creaking sound when I depress the delete button. But it didn't affect its performance in any way.

I thought mine is the worst as it has sound. Seems like I am not alone. If its flexing I may not have noticed it. I only noticed it when it was giving some weird sound. For a moment I thought it has a build-in speaker on top of the stewpid confirmation AF beep that I have switched off on the first day. Hahaha... blardy Nikon.

Just treat it as a free-play, you know those engineered parts that allow expansion due to heat.

Talking Re: D70 rear casing loose?

Hi there,

With regards to the picture pasted above, anyone has an idea what the small rubbery button (with nipple like protrusion hehe) just on the top right hand corner besides the CF card door....I dont seem to see it being described in the manual..does it serve any function.

Because when i rest my thumb there, i tend to press on that area. ahha and hmmmmmm...

Thanks,
tltan
