Default D50 LCD screen protector

Is there any protection for the LCD screen? Other than the scratch proof type? Of course, I do take care of the camera, like I do with every camera I have. But you never know, accident do happen.

not sure, but doesn't your camera already come with a LCD protector?
Like the D70?

You want to buy a protector to protect the LCD protector or the LCD?

D50 is the only Nikon DSLR that doesn't come equipped with a screen protector

D50 users never stand together with other DSLR user for night shot.. you could not see what on your LCd..

Lower class or not I don't know, I only know there's a lot of good stuff in the D50, the lack of certain items is to make the camera affordable,

What do you mean by no LCD backlight? I could review D50 images in the dark with no issues.

I mean the info display screen on right hand side,Very hard to adjust A* size or S Speed in dark. ISO or W/B can use color LCD to do.

Erm.. ur VF has the information displayed.

In the FM days, I remember people use a torchlight to shine at the LCD for display.

Actually, which LCD are you guys mentioned? 2" Colour LCD on the back, or the Black and White LCD on the top?

For the 2" Colour LCD, I think you can use BM-5 plastic LCD Protector, which is given free on D70s Body (and D70s Kit). Check you D50's manual for accessory. I think you can't use BM-4, since BM-4 is for D70, which is 1.8" Colour LCD.

For the Black and White LCD on the top, I put LCD protector for PalmPilot. Of course, cut it first to the size of LCD, and put it nice on the LCD. Scratch proof.

Regards,
Arto

No, D50 does not have a holder to take the LCD Protector on the 2" screen. Hence most of us just use the PDA screen protector for the 2" screen as you have done for the B&W LCD on top. It's easy.

Yes, you are right. I check Nikon website for D50 kit, and can't find BM-5 as an optional accessory.

Too bad

Arto.
