Default Is it ok to ask for other liquor at wedding dinners?

Has anyone asked for other liquor such as Vodka or Gin etc? Cos its usually some wine or hard liquor such as Martell...but never seen any types of liquor...dont think they will usually serve these unless the hosts buy themselves?

normally the host would say which is the type of alcohol that they would prefer their guest to drink, if you would like to drink others, maybe let the host know so that he can make necessary arrangement, or better still, bring yourself & enjoy!

Must you ask for other liquor? If so, you may add unexpected
extra cost for the wedding couple (corkage charges, etc).

the host will provide if you insist
vodka is 'harder' liquor than brandy. alcohol content higher than brandy
    gin too.

don't take other people's wedding as opportunity to drink lots of free hard liquor

very low class to do so especially if one gets drunk and behave out of control

wedding guest is there to celebrate wedding couple's happy day
not to drink like a fish at couple's expense or get money's worth of ang pow
    yah, there are such people

if one needs to drink lots of hard liquor then do so at the pub/nightclub after the wedding dinner at own expense.

there are hundreds of guests at wedding dinner
the bad impression remains for a long time
