Sigma 2X APO Teleconverter

Anyone using Sigma 2X APO Teleconverter ? I'm thinking to buy a Sigma TC for my
80-200mm lens but not sure whether it works with Nikkor ED 80-200mm f/2.8D + D70.

- Any comments on the performance?
- Any problem with the AF function if using with the above mentioned combination?

you might want to try kenko instead, my friend using it with the above lens + Body without any issue.

someone sell it(2rd hand) to me about $100, very good price but don't know if the AF can be used for the combination.

Use the kenko one better. Sigma one is dedicated to their own lens. Might have compatibility problems with nikkors.

You can't use the Sigma 2x APO TC on the Nikon 80-200mm f2.8D (2-touch). It's not compatible at all. You can use the Kenko Pro 300 DG 1.4x TC instead but it will still show you f2.8 despite that it should be at f4 when you mount the TC onto the lens.

Dunno about the 2 touch but its showed the f stop correctly on the AFS80-200

There is no issue with the AF-S 80-200mm f2.8D or the 70-200mm f2.8G VR lens except the 80-200mm f2.8D (2-touch).

u cannot stack a sigma tC on a nikon lens. tested and proven before. Sigma TCs are for Sigma lenses...

Ya, own 1 Kenko Teleplus Pro 300DG 1.4X & tested on the AFS 80-200mm,
f stop reading & zoom range correct which show after 1.4X.
On AFD 80-200mm, it will still read as f2.8 & 200mm thou should be f4 & 280mm..

Can call MS color.
They got no ready stock, must order.
Think Kenko Teleplus Pro 300DG 1.4X & 2.0X price same.
Can cal CP to check too and compare price.

I posted in B&S before and received a offer for the 2.0X.

Thanks for the info, donchua. Will check with the shops U mentioned. Need an idea of the $$$ I need to spend again in the near future but now broke after getting my 80-200.
