Went to check out the price of FX8 during saturday. share share...

Alan photo - $605 (bundle + 1 spare Li battery)
Song brothers - $600 (bundle + 1 spare Li battery)
MS Color - $600 (bundle + 1 spare Li battery + 1 LCD screen protector)

anyone knows how's MS reputation in after sales service?

i assume that is inclusive GST? what is in the bundle?

yes, including GST. Comes with original casing & 1x Li battery & 1x 256mb SD card, the usual stuff.

isin't it abit costly.. MS color i got their equote n go down to the shop buy.. so i got it at 530 before gst.. after gst is 556.50 or something.. it comes with 1 256mb sd card n case.. i asked for a free lcd screen protector he say ok.. so maybe for those who wanna buy get an equote from ms color instead...

btw.. the spare battery can get from eastgear at penisular.. i think is 24.90 for fx8 model..

I got my FX9 few wks ago from MS Color. Basic set with standard case n 256MB is 640 net. I wanted the hard cover case instead n MS offer me to trade in the leather case with the hard cover case with $10 more......I thought is a good deal so I paid $10 n get the hard case.
Last wk I went to Cathay Photo and get another camera (for my sis), when I chk with them the price for the leather case of FX9 is more X than the hard case! The leather case cost $40 bcos is leather and the hard case only $20!!!!!! I feel cheated!!!!!
It is true the leather case is more X then the hard case????

What the diff on the image of FX8 and 9? Just apart from the MP as I saw. But really wanted to know. Time to get a small cam of myself. heehee

hee FX9 got this intellizoom...
something akin to taking at larger MP and cropping it..
Thus, taking at 4MP instead of 6 you get "extra" optical zoom.
Saves photoshopping, saves hdd space, saves time (er.. dunno about u.. alot of times i just leave the photos i intend to crop as it is.. coz if i need it later i'll crop it.. :P)
Oh, the LCD is MUCH better.

I dunno abt u..
if u look at the menu, you can see that the FX8 one letters/lines are quite jagged..
FX9 it's much better.. LOL
and it gives a bit more details.. but i seem to feel that the updating for FX9 is slightly laggy...

my old e quote from alan photo is 550 for fx 8 and 620 for fx 9 w/o gst
