Default Any free software to load custom curves for D50?

Other than Nikon Capture, are there any free softwares out there that can load custom curves into the D50? I don't want to buy Nikon Capture as I already using Photoshop Elements.

Sorry, you're wrong. I just loaded up some curves into my D50 yesterday using the trial version of Nikon Capture 4.3.1. Version 4 of nikon capture cannot recognize the camera but 4.3.1 can.

Hi,

Sorry for the newbie question here as I am new to photography as well as my D50. What are the 'curves' all about? What's that?

Thanks in advance.

regards,
Aldrick

Read about why you need curves here (even though it says D70/D100, it applies to D50 as well):
http://fotogenetic.dearingfilm.com/c...ne_curves.html

There are many curves to choose from. See this page for a sample:
