Adjusting exposure in PS6

I wanna find out how to increase exactly +1 EV to a image in PS?

I normally use the Brightness/contrast, Levels or the curve to adjust the brightness of a image but how do I know how much brightness I've increase or decrease for a image?

Any advise is appreciated!
