Does this work? I tried as best I could to brighten the subjects while keeping the background mood dark and interesting.

if u say its the light...then i say the ppl are a distraction.... if u say its the ppl...then i say tt the lights are a distraction... cheers.. |

I think the title of the thread (i.e., "fun with stage lights") may have confused the issue. The title of the thread is not the title of the picture. The thread title is supposed to convey my frustration with trying to achieve correct exposure in the face of the ever changing stage lights (and no spot metering on my 350D). The intended primary subject of the picture is the lead singer on the left. The real title of the picture is "Buff Britney"... which is supposed to be funny because this band opened their act by singing a Britney Spears song (which was very funny). I thought the stage lights in the background was a dramatic touch and decided to enhance the color a bit. Anyway, I think you've answered my question about the brightening up of the band members... I probably need to brighten them up a bit more to make sure there is less ambiguity about what the focus of the picture is. I think this plus making sure the title of the picture is present might improve the situation. Thanks again for taking the time to comment ![]() marc |
