Just got one from my uncle who decided to switch to all digital. He gave me the F3 but no lenses to come along with it. Looks like a very rugged camera, may use it to do some b+w photography. Wondering if anyone here still uses the F3? I understand from my uncle that it is a professional series camera and he paid quite alot for it last time. What lens do you guys recommend me to get? Im looking for a wide up to 50mm prime lens to pair with it. Anyone got lobang?

? I used to have one long time ago and it is indeed a very rugged camera. I even fell from my bike with it. It survived but I got scratches on my arm and leg. I used it to take a photo of my damaged bike. This camera will last for a very long time. |

Btw guys, any diff between the HP and non-HP version? Because mine is the F3 without HP version, my findings on the internet seems to suggest that the HP version is using some high eyepoint viewfinder, wondering what differences does it make?

Send it to Nikon and ask for a check up and clean, if your uncle is a pro and still using it til the day he passed it to you ,then no worry
F3 comes in many flavours. I played with a F3 HP a while back and it is a truly rugged cam ] If you want, just get a 50mm prime to start and slowly build it up. 28mm makes a good wide angle on a 135 body ![]() |
