Photo-shoot gathering for new D50 users

I am grateful that ESPN has agreed to give us a tip or two if we go on a photoshoot with him.

We have agreed to meet at Funan MacDonalds at 1.30pm this Sat(17Sept). We are extending this invitation to newbies and pros to join us. The presence of "non-newbies" will certainly be able to help enlighten the new ones.

No need to register for the event. Just come with your equipment.. display it.. and look for a group fiddling around the D50. Please note that we are going for a walkaround photoshoot not a sit down talk session. So please don't be late otherwise, you may not see anyone.

Please also note that this is not a lesson, it is more of a make friends session OK.

You are most welcome. It is a session to make friends, especially for newbies like me to meet others like you.

I believe that there are quite a handful of people who has just bought a D50 recently, (Comex), very excited but not sure what to do next. (A little budget left to add something, but not sure what next) So many lens, so many accessories and settings, not sure where to start and also hope not spoil anything/or conned into buying something useless.

By forming a group, we can share info, share resources, allay the fears of "what's happened, is it normal sydrome", mass order "some necessities" and explore beyond the "green Auto" mode. Which course/club to join is on my wish list too.

We, newbies, have to start somewhere! I am making my very first small step.

I sincerely hope that some "experience/passionate Nikonian" guys can drop by to guide us along. Thanks.

OT: wah one of the nikon G***s, espn has just been promoted to TEACHER status. should start writing your biography, "World of ESPN: me, myself & my nikon equipment"

btw zhixiong have fun and do not be too overly concerned with what you should buy next rather think what you CAN DO with your current setup. Grow out of your current setup and then start thinking which kinda of shooting interest you more i.e. street, landscape, macro, potraits etc...

After you have an idea what you like to shoot, adjust your equipment slowly to your NEEDS NOT WANTS.

Hi,

Sorry can't make it to the Merlion. How is the photo taken? Are you successfully photo the power boat race? I can't find a single power boat. Maybe not at the right time
