Which customs curve to use on D70/D70s?

Hi,

It may already post before, so forgive me if this thread is repeating

Which customs curve do you prefer to use on your D70/D70s?

I have download sReala version 2 to my D70s (http://www.digitalkb.com/nikon/d70/t.../version_two/). Looks good!

i used my nikn Capture that come with the cd but why i cant use it..... to download curves... they ask for key no??? any help...

Try the most left button "TRIAL". It's 30 days for trying Nikon Capture for free.

i downloaded the reala version 2 tone curve into my d70s. when using this curve, what is the setting for color mode, exposure, saturation, hue, sharpening?

i downloaded the sample pics by the author from http://www.pbase.com/oldskoo1/newport_carnival__england&page=1

and found out that they are not set to default after viewing the exif info using nikon view.

You can try the author's favourite settings to see if you like them...

I am using a modified version of Provia curve by myself and it works miracle for me this curve also "wow" people who complains D70/s is not a capable camera for colour reproduction and tonal range ....

and use the 'edit cam curves'?

To activate the loaded customs curve in D70s, go 'Tone Comp' and 'Ok' the 'Custom'?

You can order it from their site - www.rawmagick.com. Think they give you a download link - not sure as I haven't got it.

Just want to check.

After I press Load Customs Curve on the Nikon Capture 4.3.1, it did'nt shown something like "Customs Curve successfully download to Camera, you must set custom setting on Camera to activated it" as per manual explanation. Is this Ok? Did the customs curve really load to the Camera?

But if I check on Camera, it did shown custom setting on Camera's Tone Comp.

Once your camera's Tone Comp is already set to Custom each time you download a new curve to your camera, that message will not appear.
It only appears if the Tone Comp was set to a setting other than Custom before you download the curve.

Too bad, the D70s can not shown the Tone Comp Curve on LCD to check. Hopefully in the next firmware update
