To find a speck of dust/hair inside yr viewfinder despite blowning it
Go for my first change of len on 11 sep after that found some impurities inside the viewfinder only manage to clear away some but not all had done the aperture f22 check and taken some shot seem the pic is ok but somehow those little specks of hair and dust is getting on my nerve.. so far anyone who owned the dslr here managed to keep theri totally dust free or spotlessly clean?

did you manage to find where is the dust?
2 locations: 1) inside the VF (don't think can remove, need to send to service centre) 2) open up the lens mount cap, look at the focusing screen, use blower to blow. dust that appear visually when looking into the VF won't affect the photo. only dust on the CCD does affect. |

Don’t need to bother too much if it only shows on viewfinder, it may only on focusing screen, as long it is not on CCD.
Btw, dust is in everywhere, in the air we breathe in and out daily, so how are you want to keep your camera to be totally dust free? how about use only at industrial clearn room? |

but it's annoying, like a pain in the a**.
I have dust on my upper mirror (?) twice (not very clear, like 0.5-1mm diameter close up), but manage to blow it away.

BTW, is the cleaning free within warranty? If so, how much would it be after the warranty expire, and how long does it usually take?
eow, if you go cleaning, remember to try on the KM 18-200mm and feedback please, thanks.

Dusts already fall on the camera or lens at the moment you open the packaging box. I can't think of a place on earth is 100% dust free, or how to make a place to be 100% dust free, after fighting with it for so many years, shooting jewelries, glassware in the studio, making prints in darkroom. That was during pre digital age, touch up a dust spot on transparency could cost lot money. So teilling the truth became being sarcastic? |
